Requests from law enforcement
Averentium LLC operates Help. We disclose information about Help users only as the law allows, including the federal Stored Communications Act.
Send requests by email to contactus@averentium.com with the subject "Law enforcement request", from an official government email address, with the legal process attached. We may verify a request, including by calling the agency's published telephone number.
Preservation: we preserve records for 90 days on a valid request under 18 U.S.C. 2703(f), and for another 90 days on renewal.
What we need: a subpoena for basic subscriber records; a court order under 18 U.S.C. 2703(d) for other records that are not content; a search warrant for the contents of messages, photographs and precise location history. Emergency requests involving danger of death or serious physical injury may be sent the same way with a signed emergency request form; we disclose only what the emergency requires.
We may tell users about requests for their information, unless the law, a court order or an emergency prevents it, or telling them could endanger someone.
Reports of apparent child sexual exploitation are made to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children as federal law requires.
We do not give the contents of communications to private parties in response to a subpoena. We share them outside Help only as our Privacy Policy describes, with the consent of a person in the conversation, or as the law requires.
