Delete your account
Your Help account is the same in the app and on this site, so deleting it here deletes it everywhere.
What is deleted
- Your email address, phone number and password, and your name and date of birth from your profile.
- Your sign-ins on every device.
- Your messages to Support, your notification settings, and any blocks between you and other people.
- The address, directions and description of the jobs you posted, and where you were during jobs you worked.
- Your account photo, the photos of posts that were never finished, and the words of your reviews.
What is kept
- The agreements you accepted and the record of accepting them, which includes your legal name, a one-way code of your date of birth and your network address, for 10 years after deletion.
- Completed payment and tax records, for as long as the law requires, including the payment details Stripe sends with them, such as a card’s last four digits.
- Records of finished jobs and their photos, with the title and star rating, which are the other person’s record of the work.
- Job conversations, which stay with the other person as their record and are removed three years after the job ends.
- Photos you added to a report, for 3 years after the report closes, and permanently if they are part of an evidence file.
- Records of a ban, an evidence file, a legal hold or a legal request, which are kept permanently.
- If you were paid through Help, Help’s payment processor keeps your payout account for its own tax records.
Before you delete
- Your open posts are cancelled first, and any you paid for are refunded.
- Your available balance is sent to your card or bank account before your account is deleted. Money still pending, on hold or owed is sent within 30 days after it’s released.
- An account cannot be deleted while a job is in progress, or while a payment is clearing, being refunded or disputed. Finish or settle those first.
If you cannot sign in, email support@averentium.com from the address on your account and ask for the account to be deleted.
